Rear badge templates in NC
So my local dealer/certified body shop do not have templates for rear badging. Does anyone know of any dealers/body shops within 200 mile radius of Charlotte NC that have the templates? Totally willing to drive to have it done right as i'm super OCD and if they're in the slightest bit crooked it will drive me NUTS... Also, does anyone know if the 991.1 and 991.2 templates are the same?
Thanks
Thanks

Well, you can do this yourself with tape and patience. The trick is to know that the P O R S C H E is on a curve, its not straight.
I went from the factory chrome and taking off the "911" to just the logo in body color. All I used was blue painters tape to trace the curve of factory set, then removed the OEM stuff and measured everything 3x before applying the new ones. It was only a 30 min job and I had to drop the PORSCHE logo about an inch.. The trick too, is to lightly place the new emblems in their position, don't press down on them until you are sure they are where you want them.

Long story short, I had an Audi there and just after the guy gave me some huge pitch on quality and their rigorous inspection process I had to ask if they meant to forget to leave off the entire fender liner or if something like that just wasn't part of the "quality inspection." Won't even begin on the Maaco quality orange peel....

I can confirm that neither has them. According to Import, they “make” a template and I spoke with the “Porsche” guy at hendrick luxury collision and he said they have “measurements” but not the actual template

yikes - well, they did a friend's and its perfect. I just have "PORSCHE" and it's perfect if you want to make a template. I'm just south of SouthPark.

It’s crazy. You would think it would be required of a dealer/certified body shop. Oh well
I appreciate all the replies. I’m just going to call all of the surrounding area dealers.
If I was just doing the PORSCHE I would use the recommended tape method but I want to put the 911 Carrera T back on as well and I think too many chances for error. I’m too OCD to not have it be perfect 😜 which is why I’m willing to drive 200 miles for one
