Android Auto retrofit on 2017 911 991.2 Carrera?

Default Android Auto retrofit on 2017 911 991.2 Carrera?
Hi Folks,

From what I could gather searching the web, 2017 911's only supported Apple Carplay.

Can a 2017 911 Carrera be retrofitted to support Android Auto? If so how? And how much does it cost? Would this be an official Porsche product, or an aftermarket add-on?

The upshot of it appears that there is an Asian company that will do it remotely for you for the sum of $300 - see this - https://www.unichip-tec.com/porsche_...n_via_usb.html
I haven't tried it, but it looks like it will do the trick.

Many reviews of it exist on the forum. See the main thread about AA on the 991/PCM4. You can DIY it, too.
