Default 991.2 Squealing Brakes

I just bought a 2018 Carrera CPO. The car has news pads but every time I reverse and brake, the brakes let out an extremely loud squealing sound. It's really embarrassing and sounds like I'm driving a junker. Does anyone else have this issue?

Have the same problem with my 2018 991.2 Base Cabrio when I’m backing up. Annoying....

My 2019 doesn’t squeal loud. It definitely squeals at low speed, not enough to be embarrassing. Maybe we have different definitions of embarrassing.

Brake harder.

And get a MasterBlaster for your car wash routine.

Seen the video, done the brake process that's supposed to help reduce squealing, use a pressure washer and a master blaster type of blower...... and I still have squealing when I backup the car. Don't feel ashamed but it is annoying. I guess you just learn to live with it.

This has been addressed endlessly in other threads. Go to a safe, appropriate place, take it up to 90-100 MPH, brake hard down to 20-30 MPH, repeat a few times, and there will be no more squealing unless something is actually wrong with your brakes.
