Default FAL Noise

My FAL has started making a slight groaning noise on one side as it reaches fully raised. Nothing on the way down. Apx 10K miles. Use it frequently. Anyone else experience anything similar?

My FAL has always groaned on its way up, and nothing on the way down. Always thought it was normal. Can’t tell if it is on one side or not though.

Call me ignorant, but what’s an FAL? For me, all I can think of is the rifle, Fusil Automatique Léger. They’re a nice French rifle. I’m pretty sure this isn’t what you mean. So what’s FAL to you? Here’s the rifle:

Wait... is it Front Axle Lift?

This is our second 911 with FAL & both have made some sound going up. Nothing alarming, but not totally silent, either.
