Default Rear light fault

Second time this happens to me on my 2019 C4. Got the rear left light replaced under warranty about 6 months ago. Heavy rain this afternoon and the problem comes back. I get an error message to check the light and there’s some fog in the assembly.

Anybody else gets this problem? I guess I’ll be going to the dealer again...

Nope, I never drive in the rain. But since you do it will be covered since Porsche warrants new parts for longer than 6 months.

But I'm sure you wash your blue rocket every once in a while, right? 😊

Same exact issue. I just got my CPO 991.2 and it literally came out of the trailer like that. I need to go to the local dealer.

I happened to me once. I caulked the seam where the red plastic meets the assembly, never happened again.

I also drove it in the snow

I’m not worried about the warranty. I only find it annoying that it seems changing the light last time didn’t fix the problem.

Funny. I did that on my old 993 years ago. Worked like a champ!

Something similar happened to me yesterday. I only captured this one image but out of nowhere I received this error along with the same one for the right side simultaneously. This happened while suddenly while sitting waiting to move. Both lights appeared to be working fine. Turned the car off and on and the error messages were gone.

Although this error appeared suddenly while the car was sitting idle, the only thing I could say that was different that day was that I did take the car on an aggressive and spirited drive through some ‘country back roads’ that were bumpy and not in the greatest condition. But between the time of that drive and the time the errors appeared, a few hours had lapsed as well as multiple start & stop cycles.

What I somewhat suspect and am hopeful might have been the culprit for these error messages is the battery as its original manufacture date 2016 (now almost 2024). I know that at any moment it will be time for replacement so battery gremlins is always suspect when odd & unexplained error codes appear.
