Default 991.1 Brake Pads - less dust, less stopping power?

I'm considering going from stock pads to posi-Centric / stoptech pads. 2 issues:

1. I hate the brake dust from the stock pads. My perception is that it is more than what I'm used to from my other cars. Feels like Porsche is using a soft pad like MBZ.

2. I never plan on tracking the car. Maybe some spirited deceleration now and then, but nothing excessive.

For those that have done so, some questions:
1. How much less dust did you notice?
2. Any difference in stopping power?

Bonus question / poll: best brand of non track / daily driver pads for a 991.1s?

I replaced the brakes on my 991.2 with posi-centric as a winter project. My original pads were OK but I wanted less dust. I notice about 50% less dust. I don't track my car but I am aggressive on the back roads and I did not see any decrease in stopping power

I put Hawk HPS 5.0 pads on my 991.1 C2S. I really like them. Definitely less dust than the stock pads. I'd say about 75% less. No squealing or noise, and braking performance is very good. I'm very happy with these pads.

I put on the Centrics - good pads, good stopping power - I think better than oem. No noise. Brake dust was moderately better. Only way to really stop brake dust is with ceramics, which is mucho $$$

I’m getting ready to do brakes as well (47K miles). I’m also looking for less dust and have used EBC Red and Yellow in the past on other vehicles with great performance and very little dust. I did pair them with their DBA Series rotors and have used them (with Yellow) on the track with better stopping power than OEM.

I may look at EBC again but probably lean towards a Zimmerman setup with Hawks....or just be gonzo and buy the Girodisc setup. Who knows......

Correct. the rotors generate more dust than the pads do but the PosiQuiets from Centric are your best bet other than swapping to PCCBs. I hate brake dust as well and since I ordered my car without the PCCBs I had to procure the parts, sell my Reds, etc. but the end cost was just about the same as if I had ordered it with them so consider that option if you do not mind spending about $9k. And beside no brake dust the ceramics are wonderful in regards to stopping power and feel, and I will never own another without them.

I put Stoptech drilled rotors and posi-quiet pads on my Audi A7 a few years ago. Within 8,000 miles of daily driving (no track time for the A7, lol) they were completely glazed with 80-90% of the pad remaining. Very unsafe, especially when wet. Perhaps I bedded them a bit too aggressively, but I won't be going back.
