2017 Targa 4S Decision???
Which one would you pick? Both are extremely clean. I have driven both of these cars which is a 2017 Targa 4S with auto transmissions and like both. Both have somewhat similar options but the major difference is the red top versus black top. Does the red top look out of place or is it just different that others? Both have red interiors so the red top does match that. The mileage difference is also huge. I plan to keep the car for a while. If I chose the red top, I would get a 3rd party warranty which would cost around $4k for 5-years after the factory warranty since this car is not being sold at a Porsche dealership and is not CPO'd. Just trying to pick the best options package and top color. I asked my wife and daughters but they are a mixed bag. Thought I would run it past the Porsche enthusiasts and gurus.... Thanks guys.

Just based on how they look, I would go for the black top all day (I prefer those rims as well). However, it's a big difference in mileage which is always a conundrum. 18,000 miles less is hard to argue with. Then again, if you get the red top you are paying $5k more plus another $5k for your 3rd party warranty. So, I guess it depends on the $10k difference and what you like in appearance. I don't necessarily think 25k miles is a bad thing with a car that has warranty remaining and another 2 years of CPO. Personally, I would never buy that thing with a red top, but that is a personal decision obviously. Either way, great choice in car. I keep contemplating going to a Targa next.

I personally like the red since it pops with the silver. But again, it's personal. Which one stirs your spirit more? Besides that, the red has lower miles. Good luck.

Yes, they both have option P3P which includes: 176(Sport Exhaust System); 470 (Rear Axle Steering); 529 (Sport Design Exterior Mirrors); 858 (360mm Steering Wheel); and, QR5 (Sport Chrono Package)

Red and silver actually looks sharp
Miles better
Warranty is better
I think you can get it cheaper....
Go silver and red.

I think I paid nearly that, maybe a tad more, a year ago with half the miles.
So yeah while I would like to see the highest price possible, I think they will be sitting at 120k for awhile

The red top stands out for sure, but arguably spoils the flow of colours on the car. Plus, the wheels are much less busy on the back top car. At the end of the day it comes down to personal taste - yours!
