The HRE web site doesn’t do the greatest job explaining the difference. Is it just shaving the sides of the spokes or is there any other benefits?

Thank you!

The P101SC is lighter than the P101 from what I was told. More concavity. More details in the spokes.

@Roswell88 is totally correct. The P101SC is the new generation of the P101 (which was released in 2013). Over those last 7 years HRE has been able to learn new weight saving techniques as well as adding design elements to the wheels to modernize the split 5-spoke style a bit. If you'd like to work towards a new set of P101SC's then feel free to contact us

I actually prefer the look of of the TechArt Formula IV wheels, despite not being forged. However, I’m a bit concerned about ride degradation and potential durability. With that said, I’ve never bent a rim in my 35 years of driving. I’m also debating getting the DSC Sport Suspension module thinking that would offset any degradation in ride quality by going Plus One in size. Am I wrong? Also, what size tires would you go with for 21” rims.

A former customer of yours is selling his P101s, but they just don’t seem to look as nice (to me) as the TechArts or even the P101SCs. With that said, if the asking price was lower, I could rationalize getting the P101s. Any advice you can offer would be appreciated.
From my experiences if you are concerned about ride quality with a 21" fitment then a 21" fitment is definitely not for you. Ride quality does suffer a bit because of the lower profile tire that is needed. If 20" P101SC's are above your price range then I do have an alternative that looks like the TechArt Formula IV, is prices to rival it, and comes in 20". Not to further hijack this thread please email me to continue discussions if you'd like to learn more.
