Default New to me 991.2 - Newbie lighting question

Hi,

I have a new (to me) 991.2 Carrera S. The rev counter has the grey face on it. With the light switch set to 'Auto', is there any way to get the dash illumination to come on so you can actually read any of the dashboard dials. I know I can manually turn the lights on, but that rather seems to defeat the purpose of the auto setting.

Thanks.

Mark.

I think you can twist the milage reset stick on the dash to brighten it up. Once you setup the car how you like, be sure to program the KEY button so it saves that way.

Thanks. That was my assumption too. However, with the main light switch in ‘auto’ the dash lights are completely off. It is very odd. However, the dealer assured me this is normal. I can’t be the first to have this issue.

I have not found a way around it. Let us know if you do! When the headlights are off the dash lights are off. That's it. It is annoying as it would be cool to have the dash backlit so you could see it better during the day. I keep the digital display on the right showing temps and stuff since you cant really use the analogue gauges.
