They make a decent product... Regardless of which brand you install, you'll get a nice big smile! Nonetheless, I can't recommend enough a quick convo / nerd session with John and the other @Soul Performance folks on their understanding of fluid dynamics, how they behave within the confines of the exhaust and engine systems... and what tweaks they've made.

Anyone care to help with this install today????

Buddy's 2014 Carrera S has a sport button, but NOT a PSE button. Under the car, I can see a valve on both L and R sides of the exhaust. We ordered the Soul kit for a PSE car, but looks like he doesn't have PSE. Ideas?

Don’t .1 S’s have the hardware in place for the PSE where as the Base does not... or something like that? I imagine that you’re fine... I know in the .2’s the S does not have hardware in place if not optioned with PSE

Give me a ring any time at 4848836197. We’re always happy to help and point you in the right direction. For your reference, the system for the Non PSE S models would have come with a valve controller kit for you to install and control the valves. You can still install the exhaust, it will just be in the default open position until you run the valve controller kit.

best regards,
John Gaydos

Yeah, I know. It is what it is, and it has a good glob of low end torque to compensate.

You have options to improve the sound on the .2. I remember reading posts about swapping the cats with 200 cell + exhaust upgrade.

Thanks John. My friend will call tomorrow. We got it installed and attached existing vacuum lines to the SOUL valves. It had a noticeably louder sound with Sport button on (sounded great on our short ride).

Not sure what those vacuum lines do, but at 3500 rpm, it was like an on-off switch with a louder exhaust sound. Good stuff.

Need the valve controller kit. Let me know i can take some photos for you. Can be a bit confusing hooking up the vaccum lines and taking out the old ones.

Thanks AWfilms. We used the old vacuum lines (2) with the new valves. I'm not sure what those old ones were used for - cold startup? Sport mode?

I think we'll take it to a shop for the bumper removal and valve controller install. Is it possible to install the factory PSE switch/button for a factory-look installation?

Yeah you can if you want to wire it but you can also just use the homelink.

Are there any HP gains from this? I looked on the website and didn't see anything mentioned.

It's working just like your stock exhaust. CS models with Non-PSE still has valves, they just open automatically at higher RPM. In Sport mode valves are open all the time if im not mistaken.
With PSE, the muffler is different and the button allows you to close or open valves as you please. The only benefit you will gain by getting the control kit is having valves open at low RPM in Normal mode. Because all other times valves will open automagicaly anyway.

any exhaust will have some slight gains due to better airflow but i'll be honest, the websites that say 30-40hp are lying IMO lol
