opinions on 2012 991.1 Porsche S model
I found a 2012 991.1 Porsche S model with 35,000 miles. Owner is asking $49,900.00 However, it has been in 2 accidents, has had 5 owners. He says the accidents were cosmetic accident 1 to front end and back-end, sounded like mostly bumper covers, and the air bags did not deploy. The second accident was passenger -side rear quarter panel. I have a fear of their being bondo in the right rear quarter panel. No picture of before repairs, only the current condition. I asked for over rev report, it has a PDK, so maybe that won't be a red flag.
Given the fact that there are cars on the market with 1 owner, and 0 accidents, but I thought maybe some rennlist members might offer up an opinion.

Having said that... depending on what options it has on it, it could be a fair price based on the history. I'd certainly check the title is clean not a salvage/rebuild. Two accidents and 5 owners in 35000mi would suggest the car wasn't cared for all that great. It doesn't necessarily mean there's anything wrong with it, but I'd suspect some deferred maintenance, etc. Additionally, accidents can be pretty rough on internals that show no signs at first. Mounts can be damaged, excessive rubbing can occur, etc. Not everything that gets damaged in an accident gets repaired. Whether or not it's ~14k more of future problems, hard to say. It might be an easier buy if you're planning on keeping the car and you're not concerned with resale value. You would be the sixth owner. On the other hand, it could be a great track car or something like that.

5 owners and 2 accidents: hard pass.

Lots of owners on toy cars is no big deal. PPI should include a paint meter and disclose if the repairs were done right or a bondo job. if you're worried about the reliability then it sounds like it is priced well enough to get a warranty and still make out ahead to relax your concerns.
