I only have 4k miles on my car and it is stored in a heated garage and never parked outside, so it is like new. The dealer said they used the right paint code....what could have happened?

I left the car there for them to hopefully figure something out
When I painted my side mirrors carrera white , the dealership asked me to drive my car there despite I wanted to do the install myself.

Thé Bodyshop man wanted to match the correct shade of white . Carrera white has different shade to my surprise, he had few sample template on plastic card & put them against my car to match.

The end result was perfect. Ask them to re-do it. They got the wrong shade.

Thanks for the info, not sure why the advisor told me to bring in the parts for painting first and then the car later for install. I’m hoping they can remove them now…..

^^^This exactly. A good shop will always want to match the paint to the specific vehicle it's going on.

Even the identical paint from Sherwin Williams can be just slightly different from can to can. Make them repaint and match to your car or it will forever bother you.

it’s a mistake on their part , they should know better about the different shade of white.

i agree with the poster above , have it redone or else it will bother you. Body kit is too big of a part to miss .

The advisor I’m dealing with is great, she acknowledged they shouldn’t have painted the parts without the car in there possession and she wants things to be perfect. They are going to remove and repaint with the vehicle there for matching. I will then go and see the finish outside in the day light against the car before the install.

will keep you guys posted

thanks

Hey Guys

Its been a while, but I finally got everything painted to my satisfaction. Here are a couple of quick pics. I STILL HAVE TO PUT THE PPF ON THE FRONT LIP AND SIDESKIRTS

That’s the techart kit? Looks amazing. I love the techart sideskirts but I find it sits too low paired with the sportdesign front bumper lip.

Yes its the techart kit, front spoiler flows seamlessly to through the side skirts, now I need some carbon fiber on the rear end!

Funny you chimed in, I was going to hit you up to see how the BC Forged wheels are going? I’m doing wheels next. I was thinking of the BC HCS23 as an option, the HRE P200 and S200h are my favs but too expensive

looking at brushed dark grey face and clear polished lip, with hidden hardware as pictured HRE S200h,

and yes I will be doing the rear diffuser in cf, not sure which one, I do like the Akropov a lot

Wheels are doing great but I would call BC because the last 2 orders made for a Porsche GTS and BMW M6 took 8 weeks. It used to be 4 to 5 weeks. Not sure what the wait time is now

As for other carbon fiber parts you may want to match the front Techart pattern, not all are the same. Akropov I think is different as is oem Porsche.

All my carbon including interior trim and steering wheel match.

You may have to go custom
