Dear 991 brethren,

I am wondering if you could lend me your ear for but a moment and assist me with something. I am considering making the jump from my 997.2 PDK standard bus-sized steering wheel to the 991 GT Sport steering wheel. While I am aware the GT Sport steering wheel is 360mm in diameter, I am looking for the circumference of the wheel grip. The diameter is of great importance to me but so is the thickness of the grip. My Internet travels did not yield me any information of this specification. If one of you dear brothers with said wheel might give me but a moment of your time to measure it, I would be in your debt.

It has same thickness with regular steering wheel per Suncoastparts.
I was hoping it's thicker but... nope.

Damn. I was hoping it’d be thicker. The grip on my Z4 M Coupe’s steering wheel is 12cm in circumference and it feels perfect.

Yeah.. As owning 6 M cars previously, I really wish Porsche added thicker steering wheels on GT steering wheel design.
My GTS came with same skinny Alcantara steering wheel and called Suncoast to ask exact same question, if the GT leather steering wheel is thicker but they confirmed all GT steering wheels have same thickness as regular/larger diameter steering wheels. =)
