CV Boot leaks

CV Boot leaks
Was under the car today looking at something, and noticed both of the inner CV boots on my rear axles seem to be leaking from the big end. There is a nice smattering of axle grease up along the area above them.
I looked for holes in the boot, but cannot find anything. The strap on them doesn't seem tight enough as I can pretty easily rotate one by hand and it appears that is how the grease is escaping.
2012 991 C2S 34k miles.
Anyone else have this happen?

Not that I am aware of. I only noticed it because I can visually see the grease.
The axles have not been touched since I acquired the car last May. Not sure about prior owners, don't see anything about axles in the Service History that I have.

Thanks, it's a CPO car so THEORETICALLY it should be covered, but with my luck at the service counter you never know.
Everytime I bring it in for something they act like I am the first person to ever have a problem, and they are doing me a favor by fixing it, so was hoping for a couple others to chime in with a similar story.
If not I will get a couple new straps, repack it, and move on.

Dealership said it’s “just seepage” and PCNA won’t warranty it or fix it until it gets worse. Basically, they will let it leak until the axle fails or my warranty expires and it’s no longer their problem.

To be honest, after one year of ownership my experience has been CPO coverage is pretty **** and I don’t think I will do it again. I would go 3rd party warranty like Fidelity that can be covered at a good independent mechanic. Porsche Dealerships only want to do $400 oil changes and $550 alignments.

That sucks. I would consider going to another dealership. You also might want to consider complaining directly to Porsche NA, call 1-800-PORSCHE.
I have had similar problems of leaking axle seals with other makes of cars and all were fixed under warranty.
Lastly you can easily fix this yourself by removing the current clamp, squirting some appropriate axle grease in there and installing a new clamp. Should only take fifteen minutes tops and cost just few bucks.

I will likely fix it myself, just annoying to have to do so, when I paid good money for a CPO warranty and the car was at the dealer already. It's more than just "seepage", especially on the drivers side, there was a pretty decent amount of grease smattered up on the bottom of the car.
Even when it comes to loaner cars... car is in for paid service, loaner available right away, warranty work, it's always a 3 week wait for a car. What's the point?
I spoke to my indy mechanic yesterday, he said get a good aftermarket warranty and you will never have to deal with this non-sense again.

I have never had a problem with CPO repairs on two different cars and three different dealers. I think your dealer is the problem, not Porsche CPO. By your description, this should definitely be covered. Thats's not some slight seepage, you are describing a full on grease leak.
