thanks for your responses guys. I'm just not going to bother for now. have to wait until I live in a place with a garage. too much hassle (temps, rodents etc) to keep the car somewhere where I have to go and drive to the storage facility and pick up the car every time I want to drive it.

I have my car in non-AC garage all year in FL. I don't think anyone would consider that a problem most of the year. However I do an anti-winter storage by leaving my 911 on a CTEK in that garage the 3 hottest, most humid months of the year(July-Sept) while I am up in the White Mountains of NH for the summer. I have been doing that with my fun car for the last 12 years with no adverse consequences.
