Default S+ On The Street?

Those that do, how do you use the S+ mode on the street? In auto mode mine revs to redline even if I ease back on the throttle. I wish there was something in between S and S+. In my Mercedes, if you drove at 3/4 throttle for a few seconds it would upshift until you floored it again. S is a little too tame and S+ almost unusable except, I imagine, in an all out track setting. I guess that is the advantage of a manual.

S+ is too aggressive IMO for me in auto. It's my favorite in manual/paddle mode.

I'll have to try that. Do you leave it in auto and paddle upshift mostly?

No... if I'm in paddle S+ then I switch the shifter to "manual".

Even on the club drives in the mountains, I keep pace with the GT cars just fine in Auto/Sport. Mind you this is on a street and not the track. Part of the magic of the PDK is being the perfect gear at all time.

Yeah, not possible to drive in sport plus mode in Auto on the street. Track only or manual shifting on the street.

Sport plus is not for 3/4 throttle. It is WOT, aggressive driving, racing, maniac usage only. There is no less than 6k stuff for sport plus.

Stick to auto, or sport.

I definitely wish there was a mode in between Sport and Sport Plus.

Hated Sport+ on the street in a PDK car I had for a couple of years.

Love Sport+ on the street with 7MT.

If you drive your PDK in Manual mode on the street, I don't believe there's much of a difference between Sport and Sport Plus as long as you turn off the stiff suspension. In manual mode, they will both rev the same and sound the same. I know that S+ eases the stability control thresholds, but 99% of people don't get near those grip edges on the street anyway, so in practice, S and S+ are the same in Manual PDK.

FWIW, I'm ALWAYS in Manual mode unless I'm on a highway-heavy long haul trip. I can't stand how the PDK always wants to be in 7th gear.

One difference I can definitely feel between S and S+ is the violence of the gear change, especially at wide open throttle.

Have you considered a PDK tune? On the 991.2 it just came out and I came across this video for the 991.1 - seems like it might alleviate some issues? Hope it helps 💪

Default sport plus

Always turn on sport plus in MT immediatly upon entering car. Sometimes will turn the suspension or exhaust off though. Cooler = longer life.

I highly doubt this suggestion will add any measurable amount of life span if it even works at all. Suspension and exhaust don’t get turned off either, once the vehicle is on - it is on.
