Default 991.1 owner wants a new car

I've had my 991.1 S cab PDK for about 15 months. Great car, but I'm getting the itch.

I want another cab, but with a manual transmission. Need to stay around the $75-$90k budget.

I'd like a 991 GTS or 4S Targa, but they're a bit out of my price range. Maybe a 991.2 S/4S?
Always wanted a 997TT, but not sure I can go backwards on the interior.

I'm open to switching brands. I've had a bunch of M cars including an M4 6MT cab. I could wait for the new M3/M4 due out next year.

Thought of a used 360 or R8, but they are a bit too flashy. Plus I like back seats.

Any suggestions?

Signed,
Indecisive

I am in your boat but with more budget. I am going for 991.1 Turbo or Turbo S.

Maybe a 997 turbo? It should be in the price range. I would stay away from the Ferrari, they are difficult to resell.

You can find a 2015 GTS at the top or just above that range. Just be patient and drive a hard bargain. Not sure where you are located, but there is a CPO 2016 GTS manual cab in Carlsbad, CA. 33k miles, $93k

Sounds to me that you just need to watch for the right 991 cab w/ a MT to come along. There are inevitably going to be some bargains in the next few months from all of the current turmoil out there.

Post a "WTB" ad in the Marketplace and be as specific as you want. I have seen people reply to such ads that were thinking about selling but had not listed yet so you could get lucky and have the first shot at something!

Your budget gets you into an Aston Vantage GT manual. Not to debate the merits of Aston vs Porsche.

A 991.2 S with just a tune is at 997 Turbo horsepower. Add a few bolt-ons and you're past 997 Turbo hp.

What about the new 718 Boxster GTS: 4 liters flat-six, convertible, manual, 7800 rpm redline, and it is topping up your budget!

There are a few '15 and '16 991 manual GTS available for under 90k. Most have 20-30k miles.

Personally though... I think I'd go 991.2 base or S. You can get a lot more power with bolt ons and or just tuning with their turbocharged platform. I went from 991.1 C2S to 991.1 Turbo S because I missed the torque of my previous turbo cars.
