Default 3 or 4 buttons on key fob

Hi,
I’ve only 3 buttons on my key fob.
The fourth one should be for the soft top (991 cabriolet).
Is it an option that I’m missing ?

As you can see, on my key fob, there is this fourth button inside. The top doesn’t move as I press the button, but the red del in the door light up ?

Forth position is for trunk release for Porsches that have both front and rear lids (like the Cayman.)

Not on the 991 ! Look at the photo, trunk release is the 3rd button.
4th is for sunroof on Coupé’ or soft top on cabriolet.

No. That is the “frunk” release. The Cayman has both frunk and trunk and thus four used buttons.

4th is for sunroof on Coupé’ or soft top on cabriolet.
No cabs in the house.

Never heard of that one before.... Each 991 I've had has only had three buttons. Never had an option to have sunroof remote-controlled, and unless you have SmartTop or whatever it is called I didn't think any 991 Cabs have remote/FOB controlled top functions either. As worf928 states, that fourth position is likely for other models that actually have a rear drunk or door (I seem to recall that both the Panamera and Macans I've driven had that fourth button).

So your answers won’t help as I’m talking about my 991 ! Not cayman or boxster…

and the 4th button is for soft top (when present) !

Or at least not on NA bound cars.... If you have a cab, and you don't have the cab top button, then you'll have to ask the dealer. They could tell you what options your car was coded at the factory or dealer. Also, maybe that is not the original key to your car?

I will ask the dealer. On a French forum, they say they all have the 4 buttons.

The dealer won't code that at the United States of liability.

Your only option is the SmartTop module, which will allow you to open and close your top (and windows) and other cool things, for Cabs & Targas. I bought mine before I even had the car - love it: https://www.motivemods.com/Mods4Cars...4c-sthbpe1.htm

To go with your Chateau Lafite Rothschild Pauillac, but only if you bought a Speedster at ADM of 100k+.
