Default Bead Maker on my wheels

Any reason not to use this on my wheels. I was hand cleaning the spiders today and said why not hit them with Bead Maker and a towel to clean them. It worked well but wondering why I have not heard people using it for this purpose.

As a quick detailer, I'm sure it's fine. But, with wheels, you need a coating that hold up better to the heat, like RejeX Wax or a quality ceramic coating like Optimum Gloss Coat.

Agree, it is not going to last very long with the high heat. Coat your wheels and then you can use that when drying.

I’ve been using Bead Maker on my wheels well over one year as a detail spray after a wash or removing minimal dust; plus I also like the glossy sheen.

The are ceramic coatings that are specifically designed for wheels and brake calipers. Gyeon Rim is one option.

I use Bead Maker on the wheels (and on the rest of the painted areas of the car). It does seem to help repel brake dust from sticking...

I am using cquartz dlux on my wheels and wheel well on the 911. Works well so far. Will be applying two coats to my new wheels also. $40 on eBay/amazon-can’t beat it.

I got the "wheel off" ceramic coating done for my wheels (faces, barrels, brakes, etc.). It was well worth it!

Super easy to do-hardest part is cleaning the wheel beforehand.

Check out PolishAngel Supersport. This is a PTFE (Teflon) based product that you will spray on and wipe off. Because of the Teflon component, it will stand up to the heat of the brakes where a typical polymer sealant would cook off (like Beadmaker). While it is expensive, it is meant to be applied very sparingly, and will last around 2-3 months with each application.

Would Gyeon Wetcoat be a good application for this?

I have C-Pro and wish I'd done the "wheel off" too, it's pretty good on satin black wheels, must be really good on glossier finishes.

I just finished using a 1-step polish followed by Kamikaze ISM 1.0 ceramic coating. Kamikaze top coat and bead maker to maintain.

Was very easy DIY and the Kamikaze product is safe to apply. Highly recommend. Going to use remainder of product on wheels when I get time to remove and deep clean. Esoteric car care has a lot of helpful application videos online.
