Friends over at JP Euro in Garland, Texas just received our shipment of our BBi Autosport Custom Tuned Power Package for their client's 991.2 Porsche GTS. This kit features a Proven Combination of IPD Plenum and Cobb AP. To help push this GTS further into Turbo territory, JP Euro also added a pair of AMS Intercoolers and Akrapovic Link Pipe Set to the package. We worked closely with JP Euro to dyno tune this car remotely from 1400 miles away to maximize power gains and made 527 hp to the wheels from it's 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-6 engine rated 450 hp at the crank from the factory.

➡️ As an IPD / Innovative Pro Design & COBB Tuning Technical Partner and Distributor, email us at sales@bbiautosport.com for your power packages and wholesale dealer inquiries welcomed!!! For those who are not local to us, we also offer custom E-Tunes that are done remotely by simply collecting data logs and sending back revised maps. Here are some detailed pictures that we would like to share below

With thousands of units sold over the years with great success and rave reviews, the IPD Plenums continue to deliver the best bang for the buck in the Porsche performance market. IPD has been developing patented intake plenum upgrades for Porsche vehicles since 2004 - now covering more than 30 applications distributed worldwide - and continues to share the same facility and technical resources with BBi Autosport to deliver the most innovative Porsche engine upgrades.

991.2 Carrera/S Turbo Plenum

The already explosive power of the 991 can be further increased with the new 991 IPD Intake Plenum. The patented IPD Plenum design works exceptionally well with all forced induction applications and the 991 is no exception. Power and torque increases provided by the IPD plenum are impressive and stay well above all factory power curves from launch to redline. Maximum power increases take place in the midrange where it's most needed, most critical and most enjoyed.

The 991 plenums deliver smooth and linear power with considerably quicker boost response creating a longer and more desirable power band. The Turbo plenums deliver reliable performance for both street and motorsport applications enhancing the already visceral Porsche Turbo driving experience.

IPD Plenum Features:
  • Increases horsepower, torque, and boost responsibly optimizing air flow efficiency
  • Designed with 3D Modeling & Computational Fluid Dynamics software
  • Utilizes diversion splitter and dimpled interior surface eliminate turbulence and increase air flow
  • High quality cast aluminum construction
  • Direct fit OEM replacement
  • Made in USA

JP Euro started off the project by installing the IPD Plenum for improved air flow. The revolutionary and patented design of the IPD Porsche Plenum replaces the factory plastic "T" style design with a more efficient, precision casted aluminum "Y" design. The fundamental purpose of a plenum is to deliver smoother air at a higher velocity with greater efficiency. The IPD Plenums distributes the air -flow more effectively while reducing pressure drop at the inlet by utilizing a true merge collector and dimpled interior surfacing. The result will be smooth and linear power with considerably quicker boost response creating a longer and more desirable power band.

That's pretty awesome performance - Holy smokes, good for you guys! Can't wait to see what else gets cooked up when this platform matures some more

So what's the consensus on the IPD Plenum? I've heard yes it works, and also no it doesn't work... additionally, wasn't TiAL coming out with a 3D printed one? Any thoughts on that, and how it differs from IPD's solution?

IPD Plenum is fantastic, especially for those seeking the additional power of a ProTune. A lot of mid and upper range opens up with the IPD parts. IPD has been doing this for years and knows these engines and products very well. I would be hesitant to try another solution. Why fix something that isn't broken? IPD has this one figured out!

Would you be able to provide pro-tune figures without a plenum? I’m curious as to what it adds...

no biggie if you don’t, I’m also being lazy with the search button 🤣

Sorry my question in the other thread was meant for this one-stock headers and air filter on this setup?

Yes, it is catted. Akra have 300 cell count.

OP needs Vektor headers ; ) P.S What did the before (stock) dyno come in at? You only say 450hp at motor, but what did it read at the wheels stock?

It made 527 hp to the wheels.

JP finished it off with installing a new set of wheels from ADV1.

Impressive results. What kind of boost pressure are you running to achieve these figures? And how fast are the turbos spinning. Based on the fact that the rpm where peak power is developed has dropped over 1000 rpm from stock, one might conclude that something in the intake--or exhaust--system is limiting flow.

The stock 991.2 headers are garbage, very restrictive. A set of Vektor headers would open up the flow. There are other limitations which can be seen because the horsepower/torque difference at redline is very little relative to the gains in the other parts of the rpm range. I'm assuming 91 oct because the car is in SoCal. Lack of airflow to the intercoolers is another issue; hard to get to good airflow on the dyno. The best setup I've seen for fans on the dyno is Vektor's setup where they have two big blowers blowing straight into the inlet ducts for the ICs in addition to an array of 6 fans in front and 6 behind the car. World Motorsport has their wind tunnel dyno and they add a set of fans blowing into the IC outlets too; that's where Dyno Spectrum does their tuning. I'm guessing a large part of it is the dyno airflow. GTS turbos usually carry the power out to redline. You usually only see the big drop-off with the smaller base and S turbos.
