Default Launch delay?

I had an opportunity to do my second launch in the last year since I got the car. It felt great, with a very strong pull. It did the same thing the first one did though, there was about a second delay from when I released the brake and the car started to move. No problem if you're just trying to impress your passenger, but in a drag race you'd loose unless you were racing a much slower car. In a drag race reaction time is important. Is this common?

I can't believe 183 people have read this and have no idea, opinion, comment. Did I confuse you with my statement?

I've not noticed a delay when using launch control. It seems like when I release the brake it's off to the races.

Since you have only lauched twice maybe try it third time to see if the delay was just an outlier?
