Default Replacing brake pad retainer springs

I changed out the front brake pads and rotors (brake discs) on my 2015 Porsche 911 Carrera today, and everything went very well. I referred to a YouTube video, as well as a few threads here in Rennlist to confidently approach the task.

I haven't seen any videos or read where anyone has replaced the pad retainer springs in the calipers. Has anyone done this or know why not many people do it?

Thanks!

Shouldn't have to replace them unless they get broken or rusted out.

Well they don't really wear out. And they are somewhat pricey for what they are. Unless they are rusty or damaged there's really no reason not to re-use the originals. Personally I prefer not to spend money that I don't have to, even if the amount is relatively inconsequential.
