I remember the days when I was excited to have a car that came with 16" wheels.

I remember when 17’s came out I didn’t think a wheel size would ever get any bigger...they looked massive!

😉 It’s an awesome “winter beater” and rivals my previous favourite ... B7 RS4.

On my 2002 I did a +1 to 14 inch Panasports--radical!

In college I had a Honda Civic with 12 inch wheels.

I have 19s for winter and 20s for summer in my 18 C4S; both are run at comfort pressures at 30/33. The ride is a little better with the 19s but the winter tires are also squishier. The summer Michelins are very nice at comfort pressure, partial load. My only complaint is road noise which I find a bit much on the highway. Seems to be a common complaint. I wouldn’t mind trying summers on 19 inch wheels but will need to buy a separate set of wheels.

From what I recall reading on these forums, don't a lot of guys also down size to 19's for the track because they handle better?

Reducing rotational mass has a positive impact on handling, acceleration as well as ride. Also, cost of tires is less ...

Yes cost certainly a point as well. But makes sense to me that if the 19's handle better, I am more than happy to run them 6 months of the year then as this is a sports car at the end of the day, and wouldn't I want better handling? I guess ultimately the choice is between aesthetics and handling, but I quite like the look AND I get better handling, which is why I think they are a great choice.

18-19 inch for track in order to have the lowest weight while still having as much and as aggressive a tire as possible.
20 inch adds weight, but can also offer a wider tire, so it's a trade off which usually factors aesthetics to a degree.

The base 991.2 I had with the 19 inch wheels and 295 rear goodyear tires felt like a better setup than the Carrera S 20's on the T. That said I didn't track either of those two cars to truly compare the whee size trade offs. I like some tire on my cars for the potholed roads I deal with. Would like to get some 19's on my car soon. Was planning to for the winter setup but then just decided to wait based on the lack of snow these days.

Would it be too Yolo to have OZ wheels in four different colors? I have toyed with that idea. I have also thought of painting each panel a different primary color.

Stealing from Wing Commander's posts, I love his car with these sporty 19's...SPASM no doubt also helps the look.

Default Another DD on 19’s

these 19” GT3RS replicas were a great match for the DBM color. Extra sidewall makes daily driving pretty comfortable on our winter beaten roads.
