I used to think the same. however, it seems that many high end cars are going this route.

Did you do the Tequipment ones or the Ebay / Amazon ones? The reason I ask is Suncoast doesn't show them being compatible with Panamera?

These ones are a high-quality, sharp projection.

Good deal considering your next cheapest option for the factory part is Suncoast at a buck sixty + tax and shipping.

Many thanks to rob944s2 for posting a procedure for this. I took the liberty of formatting it as a pdf document (suitable for printing) should anyone find that useful.

FYI, I'm also looking forward to curing that under-steer problem Yojeffo mentioned as well as the additional 20 HP that Guards_Red_991 discovered.

Bumping an old thread - but recently bought these and I gotta say, may not be everyone's cup of coffee, but sure is for me. Loved the look when I saw the same effect in my friend's Huracan. Now I have it too.

I found some on Amazon that had the Porsche name and the Colored Crest for $45 for the pair, will they last? I dont know but for now they look good to me...

Google around, there are cheaper alternatives out there...

YMMV...

I have looked around, and the cheap ones on Amazon is a full Porsche logo that I thought was super corny looking. There literally are no alternatives if you wanted this slick looking Porsche text on a single line aside from OEM.

To each their own, that's why I said it's not everyone's cup of tea

Great project! Thank you for this thread!
One question: Looking up the part number 9Y0-044-910 I came to the original Porsche Tequipment site:

Link

It states that "Hinweis: Nur für Fahrzeuge mit Licht-Design-Paket (Bestell-Nr.: 630)."

That means "Only for vehicles with light-design-package" which my 991 not have.

Does anybody know why or if this is true or can explain it?! Thank you!

I noticed you never got a response. I don't know if it really matters if you have that package. All you need to make sure are that you have functioning puddle lights (those lights at the bottom of your doors). They plug directly into those sockets.
