Default 991.1 (Carrera) vs 996 TT? Price and mileage the same - what to choose?

Looking to purchase my first Porsche 911. Have driven a 991.1 (2013 Carrera, non S) that I have been eye balling. Just drove a very cherry ‘03 996 TT today. Same miles as the pre owned 991.1. Great records, great owner. The 991.1 also has complete records.

Ultimately really torn between the two cars:

996 TT pros:
1) Nostalgia. It’s an 03 and this was my dream car when I was in high school.
2) That torque is no joke. For a 17-18 year old car, unbelievable how fast this car is for its time.

996 TT cons:
1) Age. It’s a 17-18 year old car. This particular car is in exceptional shape with 20k miles, but still has it’s fair share of little cosmetic discrepancies. Some clear coat peeling on hood, minor rock chips but otherwise very clean.
2) Price. Basically the same price negotiated for a 991.1 which is 10 years newer.

991.1 pros:
1) Newer car with newer comfort features. Blue tooth, etc.
2) Clean. Very minor quibbles. Same mileage (20k miles).

991.1 cons:
1) Doesn’t have the same kick in the pants or nostalgia as the 996.

Essentially what I’m seeing is 996TT with 20k miles going for 59-62k. Once in the 30-40k mileage territory they drop almost 10k.

Both cars will undergo a thorough PPI. All things considered - price being the same, what are your thoughts?
