It is a never ending battle and a frustrating one. Do a search on RL and you will find many posts on it.

Best thing to do is get it coated. Many have ceramic coated them and that makes cleaning easier. I use Dr Beasley Matt Wheel Seal - does a very good job and makes cleaning very easy, basically just use a hard jet of water and wheels come out pretty clean.

Wheels will get dusted every time you drive the car, no way around it unless you get PCCBs. My suggestions will make it easier to clean the wheels, but will not prevent brake dust from happening.

PS - you might try changing out your pads to low dust pads. That will help a little too.

It won’t eliminate brake dust, but I find this brush ^^^ makes weekly cleaning slightly less of a pita.

Since I coated mine with ceramic coating, the “BRAKE” dust just washes off.

I was pressure cleaning the driveway yesterday and hit the rims from a safe distance. The spokes, calipers and barrels came clean in seconds.

I don't mind cleaning mine too much, but I just got mine ceramic coated on Friday, so I'm looking forward to an easy wash going forward. I had the full wheel off package done (exterior, barrel, and brake caliper).

Just change the brake pads with ones such as Centric Posi Quiets. I tried ceramic coating and while it made cleaning easier the brake dust from my Reds still accumulated, so much so I had the Reds swapped for Yellows (PCCBs). If I did not do those though changing pads would have been my only choice.
