I'm currently looking for a solution to this as well, would love to copy the file as my HDD is too corrupt to clone to my new ssd.

Apologies as I’m assuming this is sacrilege given the length we all go to figuring out how to add CarPlay, etc - but what are the downsides to just replacing the PCM with a modern day double din Ken wood or alpine unit? They seem to have good bezels to make them look good in place and electrical connectors to make steering wheels controls etc work…?
