I've always gotten a Macan loaner from Porsche. The best loaner I've ever gotten was a red stick shift 1989 Nissan 300ZX when my Dad's 1990 525i when in for a service with the local BMW dealer. As a very young kid that car was the best thing I'd ever seen

After the first kid came along (2008), I had to trade in my Cayman for a Cayenne. My local dealer knew that the trade was absolutely painful for me, so they went out of their way to give me Cayman and Boxter loaners whenever they could. That bought a ton of goodwill over the years, which has turned into a lot of business for them now that I have a third garage bay.

Well last week I brought in my 2019 911 for it's 10K service and got a Toyota Corolla... That was fun.

After I got my 911 home, I realized they did all parts of the service (check fluids, brakes etc), except the oil change! (how is this even possible...)

Brought it back the next day. At least this time they gave me a Macan (base).

I usually get a Cayenne or Macan as a loaner. My dealer also sells Audis, so I get an A4 or an A6 sometimes.

Time to find a new service center.

I always get Cayman S's - including the new 718 Cayman S-
I've had them in red (cayman base), Black 718 Cayman S (when they first came out) , White (718 Cayman S pictured below)
I've had and tracked three generations of 911's from 997.2 - 991.1S, 991.2S over a period of Eight years of Porsche ownership - only THREE loaners show how reliable these cars are - just wanted to point that out.

I really, really liked this white one. BUT i'm a 911 guy

Ridiculous!

How did you know they forgot to change the oil, did you check the condition of it?

They wrote it on the service order that they gave me - it stated oil change due in 700 miles! (I had 9300 on the car at the time)...

And to clear up any doubt - I booked the service as the First Maintenance, and that was reflected on the paperwork.

I had a pretty loaded Panamera 4S for nearly a month. Took it down to Atlantic City with the boys for a bachelor party.

Sounds like they were trying to rush it out the door. My local service centers are incredibly overloaded now that Porsche has gone crazy with the family cars in the last few years. Way back before the Cayennes, Panameras and Macans, it was a completely different experience.

I’ve personally had pretty good experiences on the Service side with my local dealer, Porsche Bellevue, but if you look online they have terrible reviews from others, many 1-star.

I've had a Boxster S, a Cayenne, a Panamera, and a Cayman for loaners. The only one I haven't had yet is the Macan.

The Boxster S ( think it was a ~14-16, with the flat six) surprised me - it was quicker than I though it would be and quite enjoyable. The Cayman (a 718) was okay. The exhaust note was really disconcerting. The Cayenne felt HUGE (and my wife drives a Yukon XL Denali - I am used to large SUVs but the Cayenne still felt rather large versus sporty). Really enjoyed the Panamera (it was the previous generation) - great highway cruiser. Didn't like the looks (the new one looks FAR better) and I need 5 seats (Sport Turismo!) instead of 4 but wow, it was a really comfortable, fast car. I liked it a lot.

This is where I was as well. I'm not trying to throw them under the bus as I've only been there one time. They were quite embarrassed and did everything they could to make it right. So yes, they made a mistake, but reacted appropriately to fix it. The advisors I worked with were responsive, friendly and focused on exploring options to rectify the issue with as little inconvenience to me as possible.
