What trickle charger do you prefer?

If your porsche is not your daily driver, what trickle charger do you use?

I have an old Sears Diehard Battery Charger/Maintainer that produces 1.5 amps that I've been using on Porsches and various motorcycles for ten years or so.

However, it's not the optimum charger for AGM batteries, as it only produces about 13.5 volts, which I believe is slightly less than the optimum voltage required to maintain an AGM battery. But so far I have not experienced an ill effects from using this old charger/maintainer.

I've been using the same Deltran Battery Tender for >15 years on multiply auto brands. Never an issue. Highly recommended.

Trickle charger

Does anyone know if the 12v charging adaptor for a trickle charger has to be like the one illustrated in the manual as I can’t find one like that. The manual says that failing to use one as illustrated might cause damage to the electrical system. Just looking at pictures of the Porsche one and that adapter doesn’t look like it complies.
