squeaky seat fix
Hey all -- since new my 991.2 GTS with 18 ways (plastic seat back) has squeaked when the seat is adjusted to my preferred position. The squeaks were very annoying, and constant over bumps, during cornering, etc. After messing around squeezing the seat with my hands during these maneuvers, I determined it was the plastic back squeaking against the center console in the back.
I could also fix by moving the seat up, but I'm 6'3" with long legs, that is not a solution.
I finally decided to do something about it -- I bought a stick on piece of suede in black from amazon and cut it to shape, and stuck it onto the right rear of the seat back. No more squeaks!
This was the product I bought - .
Hope this helps someone.

This reminds me to take my GTS in to have my passenger seat looked at. Mine has something rattling around in the hard black area. Goes away when someone sits in it. Drives me nuts. Congrats on finding your fix. Mine is something mechanical inside the back support area.

Can you post a picture where exactly you put it? I have the squeaky seat in my 991.1GTS. I’ve just lived with it for the past 5 years lol

Some squeaks can be eliminated by not stopping at McDonald's on the way home.

Had an assessment at the dealer resulting in an appointment two weeks later to get my squeaky seat fixed under warranty for which I was warned the seat would have to come out and possibly be replaced. Driving with my wife the next day she stuffed a sock between the seat and console - problem solved. Final remedy exactly as per the OP
