Oil analysis at 11800 (3300 on oil) 0w-40

Blackstone charges extra for the TBN analysis. I think it's about an extra $10 on top of the base test ($28). What I'm saying, is if an owner is already doing early oil changes (<5,000 miles) of course the TBN will be in spec. So why test for it? For me, I'm not trying to extend my drain interval and squeeze every last benefit from my oil, so the TBN means nothing to me. If I were running a fleet of taxi cabs, and wanted to optimize my maintenance regiment, than maybe it would be helpful. Does this help you?
Thanks!

My 991.2 owners manual calls for Mobil 1 0W-40 or 5W-40 and various oil analysis suggests that this oil loses its viscosity fairly quickly.
Moreover oil analysis results of Mobil 1 5W-50 show that this oil maintains its viscosity better than the 5W-40, but the 5W-50 is not recommended in the owners manual. So is there another document where Porsche recommends Mobil 1 5W-50 for the engine in the 991.2?
Thanks,
Jason

I brought Mobil 1 5w/50 with me last month for the first oil change on my ‘19 T. The dealership refused to use it because 5w50 is not listed in the owners manual. It was listed in the manual for my 2014. They did use the oil I brought with me last year to service my ‘14.

I just put 5-40 in mine, right before winter. Good planning. I had a case of Motul left over. My garage doesn't get much lower than mid 40's though. Next round I'll go 0-40. Right in time for the warm weather.
