Default Windshield Pit Fixable?

Small chip in windshield that is killing my OCD LOL. Just got the car and this is one issue with it even though its almost new. Not a large chip as you can see. Not very deep at all. Can they inject into such a small mark to make it less noticeable? Or is there any solution other than living with it or replacing entire windshield one day when there are more?

It may look a little better after repair so I guess it would not hurt to try, which may be free on your policy, but you will still notice it.

Absolutely. You won't even know it's there. I'm getting another fixed on mine tomorrow.

even though it is not deep, they could still inject and likely make it better?

probably not fixable unless they make it a bigger crack. I have a bunch of "surface scratches" on my WS, and resin will not stick to it because it is not deep enough.

If the tech is good, he can...

I picked up a crack and a divet yesterday. Magician is seeing to both right now.

I had a windshield repair guy come to my house to repair a major stellate pit (fortunately hit where the mirror is mounted) and when he was done I asked him to fill in a few minor pits like you are describing. He did it at no charge (beyond the extra tip and chatting about cars). He didn't have to inject, but made them disappear.

Probably. And even if not a prefect repair it avoids the hassle of windshield replacement--along with other OCD risks.
