Difference between carerra s vs GTS 991.1
What is engine difference and drive . I had read where the gts is not as comfortable as a daily driver , is there less sound deadening, stiffer suspension ?

As long as you do not have your tires over inflated it will be fine to drive everyday but it can be made stiffer in Sport+ mode but so can the S if you get the Sport Chrono. I have heard it has less sound deadening but I cannot tell the difference. Basically, the GTS is just a little faster with some cosmetic items and extras thrown in as a package deal that would save you money if bought on their own.

Depends on the spec. More HP however.
Edmunds reviews or google will yield this quickly.

The GTS has as standard, the following things that are optional on an S:
- sport chrono
- sport exhaust,
- power kit (X51) with 30 additional hp,
- Sport PASM (10mm lower due to shorter stiffer springs,
- stiffer sway bars.
- alcantara interior trim
The ride is stiffer and cornering is flatter than a S without those options, but the ride is still quite supple. The power kit gives better flow at high rpms with noticeable effect.

The Targa GTS has PASM, and some, like me, deleted the Alcantara and went with leather, as well as the centerlock wheels, which come as the default wheels on GTS cars.

The .1 GTS sounds louder compared to a .1S, imho. The wide body and additional power don't hurt either.
I test drove an S before buying the GTS and the differences are pretty pronounced.
Good luck shopping.

The difference between a C2S and a GTS is mostly those options in the package deal for the GTS.
I had both and GTS was much preferred. Faster, sportier and more stable. Did not honestly noticed too much of the sound difference, at least not to a point it would be an issue.

1. Black wheels
2. Black lettering (model and Porsche)
3. Tinted tail lights.
4. Wide body
5. PDLS
and probably more that I forgot about......

I had a 991.1 manual C2 and now have a 991.1 manual GTS (both 2016 model year). I have not been able to confirm that the GTS has less sound insulation. As long as the GTS's sport exhaust is on the quiet setting, there isn't much difference in cabin noise. Tire type and road surface are the biggest factor. Summer tires are pretty loud.
