Default Porsche electrical gremlins??

What is it with Porsche and the electronics for me one day something works other days it doesn't. The hands free on the frunk worked fine when I purchased brand new car 4 months ago then it stopped then worked again and only if I ran my thumb(not any other finger just thumb) along the front bumper where it meets the hood, now it doesn't work again. The comfort entry, which I hate cause I dont like having to jump into the car and race the steering wheel into position, comes on every third time or so I get into the car and I dont have the box checked to activate it. Other little things I cant even think of right now. The hands free voice control dont get me started on that. When I had my 2013 c4s same deal with electronics but I thought because car was a couple years old maybe the tech was a little behind my BMW or Mercedes but now again with a brand new car... frustrating ...when the car goes in for service I will have the dealer look at it I guess. I have the feeling either everything will work when I bring it to dealer or they will say its fixed and then I will have the same problems in the future

Anyone else notice little electrical inconsistencies on there cars???

No problems at all with mine. 2014 C4S. What does "race my steering wheel" mean?
Perhaps a dealer reset or software update is needed? You should not have to live with problems. They are not normal.

My Cayenne does this sort of thing on occasion but the C4S has been quiet - so far...

I've had a few occasional gremlins pop up - never set my comfort setting for seats and sometimes it moves and sometimes not. Nothing in the last few months though....

Yes. I had the issue with seat memory not working.
I dropped my keys in between the seat and center console and moved the seat to the most forward position and the suddenly my seat memory doesn’t work anymore.

tried all the tips on rennlist and it didn’t work, had to get the system reset with the dealer. Now my seat memory on occasion won’t work correctly.

it’s a bit irritating, reminds me of my Audi issues years ago.

Some of the settings take several tries to get right. I've got mine the way I want them and I'm leaving them alone.

The one thing that bugs me is the hill hold on my 7MT car. It doesn't come on unless it's a steep grade. I'd rather have an old-fashioned hand brake any day.

I had a lot of problems with my apple carplay. About every 10th drive it would just not come on. I finally figured out that if I opened the door to turn off the PCM (the music basically) and then unplugged my phone it would work consistently.

2016 C4S and not a single issue. I only power radar and cameras via the OEM provided CLA.

I've have had issues with carplay firing up - I'll try your tip, thanks!

Other than that everything has been pretty stable and reliable on 4 different P-cars. Well, unless my wife is present. She has keys to all the cars in her purse and that has confused things sometimes (seat positions, climate settings, MFD settings), but nothing that doesn't go back to normal when she's not around.

I'm in the market for a 991.1 and I'm not happy to hear about these gremlins. For this price range, simple things like seat memory should be flawless.

I had a 987S, and I never had a single electrical gremlin with it in four years of ownership. Granted, it's a simpler car.

It's a simple fix......if you want less to go wrong, get a car with less "stuff".
