Default '17 991.2 Targa Symposer Ports

Are these the ‘symposer’ ports?

Probably not tweeters.

Hmmm, seems like they might be. Maybe we can try turning on the car and sticking an ear up against one? I would think that someone here knows though.

I'll know Friday, my Targa goes in for her 10K maintenance (oil change and general check-up) and I’ll ask them what they are—should be fun.

Tweeters? Nah, can”t see a cone in there.

Air vents? Over the engine?

etc.

Default Mystery Solved

So, the "service advisor" at the dealer yesterday (Porsche Austin) told me that the perforated panels were 'access ports' for 'adjustments'. Well, he never asked the mechanic because that is just BS. So, with this anti-knowledge and @JSETarga 's photo, I pulled the 'access port' off and lo and behold, a symposer port. Then I lifted the carpet on the other side and saw another one. Of course, all the other 911's seem to have just one port and it's muffled behind carpet. I think the Targa gets two with fancy trim pieces so that you get the engine sound even with the lid open. I am of the camp that actually likes the rumble--yes, it's a rumble and not a drone.
