Anybody here using this service? It's pretty steep @ $3100 per month + tax. 2000 miles a month with roll over miles included. 4S is the highest 911 trim you can "use".

The Porsche lifestyle is a real thing now.

Personally, I don’t see any reason to consider such a service. That said, might attractive for someone who wanted a long-term “test drive” before taking the plunge on a purchase.

Hard to imagine it’s a money maker for Porsche thus far, but I have no facts in that regard. I guess time will tell.

Its not widely released yet (I believe 3 cities in the US?). Porsche is offering a similar service to Volvo, and a few other companies. Its not for me (too rich for my blood), but its for people who don't want to be tied down to a particular car, and don't want/can't have multiple cars. The idea is you can drive a 911 this week, a Panamera next week, and a Cayenne the following week, depending on your needs or mood. Or you can hold on to the same car for the duration. If you know you want a particular model and don't plan on changing up, this probably isn't too useful.

This service doesn’t make sense to me either. If someone is going to spend that kind of money, they might as well buy a 911 and a cayenne (or panamera) Payment wise, it would probably come out the same per month. At some point, if they decided they didn’t need both cars, they could at least sell it for some money back.

A lot of us land on a specific model because we're research and detail-oriented, so for most of the folks here, this is a horrible rip off. If you're just the typical person that isn't an enthusiast, but you like nice things, this could appeal to you. You might like to change vehicles frequently. Take a look at what a 12-month lease is on a $100k car. You could easily have a $3-4k payment on a 12-month lease.

Or to look at it another way, buy a $100k+ car and trade it after a year. If you add insurance, maintenance, etc, it would come out very close to $3k per month. Silly thing to do, but it happens.
