anyone checked out how iOS 13 is working on carplay on our 991?

i heard there were some big changes to carplay but i do not want to update my phone if there are any issues to be sorted out

also i read that the apple maps shows more prominently on ios13 when using carplay? i hope this is adjustable cause i don't use apple maps at all and don't wanna see maps taking up valuable screen real estate

I had an issue this morning. I was looking at the neat CarPlay screen and not at the road. Stupid iOS13!

 

Had some minor connection issues this morning but they seem to have sorted themselves out.

Many much-needed enhancements, including adding the calendar app.

Wish they would have added the Reminder App though.

 

I need to sort through the changes, as I somehow ended on a blank navigation screen after choosing a destination.

 

I need to find the right setting to not have to unlock my phone to start CarPlay

 

I’m loving the new layouts and being able to open other apps while waze stays on the main screen.

 

Under General settings/CarPlay on your phone before you connect it to the car. Select “Porsche” it’s in there.

 

Thought I had a connection issue. It's resolved now, works fine.

iOS 13 update is awesome! Now my wife can flip through music on the phone with my main PCM screen stays on the navigation app. So awesome!!
