there is plenty of room in front and going a little wider help understeer. A 255/35 paired with 305 works well or 265/35 with 315 in rear for similar rolling diameter.

Don’t need to change offset in rear as they are good fit. My rims are in first photo in first post in this thread. . Those are 19” diameter.
note, you can still fit 245 on 9”, the GTS is equipped with 9” front and 12” rear but run same tire size as the T. But 9” front give you more flexibility
tgavem, I finally took a look at those tires... going from a 245 to a 255 or a 265 seriously bumps up the cost of that front tire!
$397 = 245/35R20 (95Y) N1
$680 = 255/35R20 has to be Cup 2R (97Y) K1
$464 = 265/35ZR20 (95Y) N0

...Perhaps I can live with the understeer :-)

If you plan to use for track, consider 19”. The R888R and Nankang are available.
nankang are also available in 20”.

BGB,
What's the difference between the GS1R and the GA1R Open Lug? The Open Lug GA1R looks identical... There I was thinking I was going for the same GS1R look on my T. But then I notice the following images (the yellow T below) are for the GA1R.

The GS1R is a newer, more optimized design based off of the flagship GA1R from Forgeline. Lighter and stronger across the board. Subtly noticeable difference toward the outer edge of the wheel, you will notice on the GS1R a more smooth taper to the outer lip (versus the step in the GA1R).

Question about the fitment: Why might someone go with 9 and 12 inch wheels (each 0.5" over stock) like on Chris' T if you are sticking with the stock tire widths of 245 and 305? Wouldn't this add unnecessary, albeit marginal, weight?

The only rationale that comes to mind is to have the option for wider tires in the future, possibly after new suspension/alignment. Or is there maybe a limitation on the offsets that dictated wider wheels to fill out the fenders?

See reply below from the other thread.

The GTD1 5-lug is a relatively similar spoke profile though, and can be made for the 600LT

BGB,
This question slipped through the net. But, as I discussed with BGB, and for Jeahbladejeah... As I ordered mine, I went for 11.5 in for the rears... but went for 9 in for the front which offered more flexibility on front tire widths... and even if using the OEM 245 - as I understand it - the wider wheel sets up a more comfortable and effective use of the 245 tire. Did I get that right?
