Default Turbo Upgrade for 991.2

I know Pure has a solution for the turbos, but has anyone given consideration to this?

Cobb stg2 not fast enough for you?

I'd go with Tial upgrades I believe that's what sam@bydesign works with

Hoping to slap those on soon. TTE seems to build a great product. Only downside seems to be that for us in the states, is around 4 week downtime

@koven
I've been bitten by the why the hell not bug ever since I did flash the 1.05 tune. That tune made me forget about any McClaren nonsense, and want to get headers, pro-tune, and eventually do the turbos, intercoolers, and Michelin PS4s and just go weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! :-)

I won't lie though, I'm watching some of these McLaren GT vids that just hit youtube.... omfg!

Cobb posted results of the TiAL turbo upgrade on our Car.

Rennlist Post.

The TIAL M660 - 600.4 WHP on the World Motorsports Wind Tunnel Mustang
This is a Base C2. This is more power, than the GTS with a tune.

It doesn't seem that TiAl has a website with info on the turbos? I can't find anything. It's like they don't want to sell them.

The specialized products are often not listed on the site. Cobb Tuning, World Motorsport, Dyno Spectrum, Supreme Power, By Design, BR Racing, a few more Rennlist vendors too.

SCHNIKEY. 600 hp in a narrow body 2 wheel drive 911 would be SICK.

How many dollies are the Tials?

Listen don't believe all dyno charts you see because a lot of times they do glory pulls to sell their products. Pure makes a upgraded turbo that is simply amazing. I currently have it on my 991.2 and currently the only one. At 3k rpm I make 550wtq and Hydra out of west palm did my custom tune. Contact Jesse at Pure and stay away from cobb... My friend had the tials and just sold his car because he couldn't find any decent tuners that could make power...

The TIAL setup - Dyno Racing, or real world performance seems to be pretty happy.

Someone should get TXGold in here. https://rennlist.com/forums/991-turb...-in-bound.html

Upgraded turbos will definitely give you a nice increase in power, but there are limits to be explored which haven't yet. Take ALL dyno sheets with a grain of salt, especially dyno jet. Until someone blows something (it's going to happen and you might not hear about it) the farthest I'd go are X51 turbo.

The truth is, with current tunes and everyone being scared to push passed 550whp. There's no point. Haven't seen a single aftermarket turbo 991.2 Carrera surpass PTS, and my 1/4 mile times.. 0-60 too. We are both running X51 Turbo AKA GTS.. I'm bone stock now, but I would have rather gone E85 or water meth than change out my turbos.. If something happens, Porsche would definitely not honor any sort of warranty. On OEM parts your chances are much better.

Take all posts from Hydra shills with a grain of salt. There are several options out there. The best thing to do is research actual facts and data. Videos, before and after logs, same day dyno sheets, dragy results etc.. Not just mumbo jumbo word of mouth.. Herp derp, xxx is the best.. Look at all those gainz!
