Looks like typical Michelin "chunking" of which Michelin has been pretty good on giving credit, replacing on my customers cars.

‘This can happen on 4 month old tires during normal driving? Or might this have been due to track use?

Looking at at buying the car. Other rear tire has 4 deep gouges in rim.

Car at seems to pull to right.

can easily lose rear end which seems uncommon.

something drastic likely happen and should avoid the car then? Not at Porsche dealer.

it's cold weather damage, most likely from shipping.

dealer should've caught that during PPI and be warrantied.

Weren’t you already advised to steer clear of this one on another thread?

If this 991 really scratches your itch then insist that it be repaired (including new tires) to your satisfaction at a Porsche dealer before you hand over the non-deposit money. Or maybe that’s what you are doing? And you’re here gathering info? Have you run you own CarFax on it? PPI by another shop?
