Default UOA on Modded 2018 GTS

Car has about 3800 miles on it now. The GTS has numerous mods including custom ecu tune, Soul high flow cats, Vektor headers, AMS intercoolers, and BMC air filter. The engine is putting out about 600 shp. This is the first UOA I have ever done on any car but will continue in the future. The reason for the low mileage after the last oil change is I decided to dump the M1 0W40 and put in Motul X-cess 5W40. After the last oil change most of the drives were of short duration around town which probably explains the somewhat high % fuel in oil.

Those are really low values for zinc, phosphorus, and viscosities for only a little over 1,000 miles. I wonder if your tune is over fueling the car, and causing that dilution?

Lex that is certainly a possibility and will keep an eye on it. I won’t change oil again for a few thousand miles and will also refrain for short duration trips between now and the next change, and see what I get.

Flick, keep in mind, when you have fuel dilution and compromise the oil's viscosity (reduce it) it does not magically spring back once you bring up to temp and burn it off.

You can do that with moisture but not the effects of fuel.

Thanks for the info Lex, I did not know that. I do know that for the last 1,000 miles I was either running the p*** out of it or going to the grocery store which is a short trip. I think both of those conditions can lead to fuel in the oil. We’ll see how this batch of oil does.
