Compared to White, Silver, or black.....are the bolder colors like the Mexico Blue, Orange or yellow a much harder sale?

i see the Mexico Blue, or whatever they call it now is an expensive upgrade but you don’t see many of them.

thanks

I hate to answer a question with a question but why? Buying or selling? Or both at some point? Mexico Blue (PTS) seems to command a premium but Lava Orange (Special Color) not so much, and Racing Yellow (standard color) is more popular on Boxsters.

All preowned GTS's are in high demand due to limited production. Even more so now that a 992 targa won't be here for at least another year.
Color is subjective. If I like a color I will pay more for it, but not everyone is like me.

PTS cars always command a premium due to the additional cost for PTS colors. Doesn't mean every buyer is going to like the color, but the PTS increases the sticker by 10k or more..

Just a couple years ago PTS was just under $7k and now it is about $12k, which is still not bad if someone does not like the colors that are available. My wife is complaining now that Mercedes does not have any colors she likes for their SUVs so we are looking into options with the dealer now.

It is very good. The dealer I bought my car from in 2017 had (later) a CR GTS with red gauges. Lovely color. I think It sold after a few months (maybe six). Didn't see it anymore.

Curiosity mostly. I remember this thread on Pistonheads from several years ago just trashing the color.....saying it would kill re-sell. There's a used GTS that has been on the market for a while and has me wondering if it's the color.

GTS values are holding very strong. Stronger than I expected. The only cars I'm seeing sitting on lots for a while are yellow GTS's. Just about everything else gets gobbled up.

PTS colors will always yield higher $$$.. I believe there was a Mexico Blue GTS that sold on BAT for 99k but it had been in a front end collision which costed over 20K in repairs.

Colors like Carmine Red, Miami Blue, Lava Orange will also go for more but not as much as a PTS car would.

Base models fall the strongest.

Well, that thread is about 993s in Riviera Blue and judging on this 993 in RB for sale I would think a GTS in a rare or PTS would be a buy. You never know though how time will judge colors. I guess ultimately buy the color that moves you and don't try to worry about resale too much. What color is the GTS you are referring?
