Default Interior Door piece removable?

I know the trim piece behind the door handle comes out but does not piece just forward of it, the one that surrounds the memory buttons, also come off?

Thanks, but how is the door handle removed? I was thinking about getting the piece behind the door handle painted to match the trim strip but only if I can get the other piece painted as well.

From the parts catalog, looks like the handle and surround is held on by two plastic pins inserted from inside the door panel.

Thanks; however, if you look at the drawing the part I am referring to is still part of the door panel: the verticle line from part #8 intersects it.

Yes, it is removable.

It's how the straps on the RS can be swapped for different colors.

From the inside of the car or does the panel need to be removed? Again, look at the drawing - it does not seem to be a separate part and I also looked at parts diagrams at Porsche parts sellers and it appears the same way.

Panel needs to be removed.

At least that's what the Porsche tech told me, which is why I guess they charge 2 hours of labor to swap out the door straps.

There are only 4 screws holding the panel on based on a Youtube video I found...

I saw this picture online, which shows the piece (surrounds the memory buttons) I am referring to: does it look removable?

I agree, probably removable, you just have to know how. It may be glued in and may be more trouble than it is worth to remove.

No, some things that appear to be parts are just imprinted patterns.
