Default Radar + Laser Defense installers in Northern California

Hello - I am looking to get either an ALP+Radenso or Escort 360 CI installation in my 2018 GT3. Are there installers in the San Francisco bay area or the Sacramento region that other forum members would recommend? Some of the ones I found via online searches have mixed reviews on Yelp hence my request for referrals on this forum. Thank you in advance!

How hard is it to program the ALP once it is installed? The local installer (Sound Innovations in Union City) can install but wants me to take on the task of programming the ALP as they are not that familiar with it? Wondering if others on this forum have done the programming and can share the level of complexity involved.

Lastly, curious if others have experience with Car Audio Innovation in Roseville, CA. They are an ALP Authorized Dealer however didn't have pictures of prior 911 installs that he could share.

Appreciate any input you all can provide. Thank you!

They are not difficult to program - you basically go to the ALP website, program/customize your jammers, save your program to a sd card and then transfer it the ALP system in your car. Check out the ALP website. As far as the installer not knowing how to program the system, it is so easy that if they don't know how to do it, I'd go somewhere else.

Is laser defense really needed out here? I've gotten tons of laser warnings on my Uniden R7 but they are almost always false alerts.

Very simple. If the sensors are mounted properly then the programming is the least of your worries. I'm in Marin and can help you.

If your state has laser, I would have jammers. They are illegal in California, but if you shut them off early enough you should be fine.

Either way, I get laser probably 10 times a year. But those 10 times a year I am really glad I have jammers.

I'm not sure why, but up here in the Vancouver, BC, area we went through a period of heavy laser use and now it seems to be all KA band (which is a heck of a lot better!). So between WAZE and my Escort 9500 I've been good. WAZE is a game-changer IF you are in an area where there are lots of "Wazers" posting police positions. Good luck on your hunt...

Curious to hear from others on your experiences with Laser Radar usage in northern California. My driving is generally between Sacramento and Mountain View, with most of driving done within 30 mile radius of Oakland, CA.
