Actually did this, with the VIN, looking at their online parts fiche (verified with my own downloaded from Porsche) and it only shows the primed part. Going to pull off the spoiler and get the part #. Maybe the black piece from the non-aero bumper fits?!

When I bought mine a year old, I noticed subsequently that the front lip was very scuffed up and jagged all the way along. Took it back demanding a replacement. They said they could fix it and did, saying it was made to be sanded back to perfection, hence no paint! Reckon they must have taken a quarter inch or more off the depth. Quite happy with it though.

Mystery solved. Pulled the part - 911 505 983 04. Catalog only shows -05 primed. Spoke to parts guy to look up other number. Superseded part #. All they make and sell now is the -05. Only option other than to sand and refinish is to paint the primed piece with some matt black automotive paint to resemble the old part

That explains it, good job, but too bad for those that just want to snap on a Black one right out of the box.

Local dealer verified that 2019 GTS had 991 505 983 04 original number and that new part is 991 505 983 05 G2X and this is primed like was mentioned above. The parts guy did verify that the 04 was also primed. So unless something was misstated, the body shop must paint this with a matte black rubber look? Who knew. Porsche approved body shop would be able to verify this.

Are there any comparable after market clean looking front lips that are actually black plastic and have the factory look?

The -04 part was actually -04_FFF and definitely not primed. Plain black plastic

Bumping a super old thread - anyone know how to source a GTS front lip spoiler in the black plastic (not primed). This part no longer seems to be available. Anyone with info, thanks in advance!

There is a market for this part in black plastic. Maybe someone will produce and OEM looking replacement.

My understanding from a previous thread was that these could be obtained from Europe on eBay as an OEM part, but after hours of searching and some phone calls, I don’t believe that’s true any longer

I think they were being sold for for $500+ each at the time.

Okay...opening this can up again....Pretty wild possibility that your .2 GTS might get totaled if you had minor front end damage and the best body shop you can find cannot bring it back to factory...just because they cannot source a strip of plastic that was a factory piece for a three year run of cars; It makes zero sense we can't find this replacement.

Hoping someone has solved this mystery!...Because I don't need one, but I would "like" one.....just to freshen up the car with the .1 RS skirts I just installed...fresh black all around if possible!.....

PS In case you read this yes... I did the .1 RS skirts on my .2 car.....just wanted a subtle shelf between the .2 RS car and the stock GTS look...Happy with the choice....and with very little effort they are as flush as what they replaced...

I have replaced this part a few times. The primed piece 991 505 983 05 G2X is the only thing that is still available to order. If you had minor front end damage, the spoiler would get replaced with this part.

The first replacement, I had painted for $300 at a Porsche body. The second replacement and going forward I painted it myself using SEM-39143 Black trim spray paint $30. Could not tell the difference between the two.
