Default Radiator fans not working

Both radiator fans not working on my 2013 991 Carrera S. Want to check the relay's first but can't find the fan relay location. Anyone know where it's located?

Checked under the drivers fool well and behind the fuse cover. Nothing...

Why do you think they are not working?

1. Neither side comes on when the AC is running. 2. Getting "engine to hot" warning when stopped for long periods. Tried "bumping fans" on with snap on tool and neither side works. Hoping it's a bad relay but can't locate them.

Yes, the AC is a good trick. Hope you get it figured out and it's an easy fix.

Are you getting any other faults besides "engine too hot"?

None. No codes pulled up. It sure seems like the relays are bad or possibly the ballast/ fan motor. Surprised there aren't more posts on this topic here for the 991 platform. It's common in the 996/997 and both of those models have the relay panel right next to and above the fuse panel in the driver's footwell.

View this video and focus on (5:50) run time to test the fans for operation.

Yep! Watched this video several times before posting here. Still doesn't solve my problem of not being able to locate the RELAY PANEL. It's not located in the same place as the 996/997 boxter platform. Baffles me know one seems to know where it's located.

Yes, they both spin freely. Has to be the relay, ballast or fan motor I would think.

I believe it's in the driver's footwell. They are above and towards the firewall relative to the footwell fuse panel. Relays K4 and K5. From my research it's NOT EASY to get to. You basically have to disassemble half the driver's side footwell & dash.

Start with post #17 in this thread to see the madness to get to the relay panel.

Is there any update on the status of your fan problem? Did you resolve it? I’ve got a fan issue, no fault codes, and would like very much to know how your situation resolved and what the cause was.

Hi, would you know which relay it the one that controls radiators? I looked at the electric diagram, and it seems that there is one relay for each radiator. My guess, given the picture I attach is that the 2 relays in charge of fans are the ones marked as "644"?
