Default Used Purchase Advice 2018 GTS.

New to Porsche. I have a chance to pick one up for a smoking deal. Is there anything I need to be aware of with the 2018 models? Any way to gauge how it will hold value in the short and long term?

Also, how are the manual alcantera seats for 2-3 hour drives?

Thanks!

Have a 2019. Seats where fine on my drive from Mobile AL o NC. I'm 5'8" and 160 pounds so the seats worked well for me. Nothing I'm aware of for the 2018 model, but like you I am a nub! Good luck with your purchase!!!

My 2018 Carrera 4 GTS had its two year, 11, 000 mile service, this morning. No issues. The 2018 models have already taken their big hit so you are looking at what I would call a pretty good investment. Check the multitude of 2017—18 YouTube videos reviewing the GTS. All the praise for this model is impressive and it is nearly always called in "The Sweet Spot" in the Porsche lineup. I have the 18-way sport seats and they are most comfortable.

OP: Describe your "smoking deal" and we can add our .02. Otherwise, it sounds like you have Sport Plus seats? Post the Build Sheet or options, etc.

9ELOVIN: are the Blue wheel stripes painted or decals? Source?

Painted by my body shop friend. He started out doing wheel repair and painting and now has a full service body shop.

Is that a Techart rear wing with the scoops? Did you do any before/after testing of Intake Air Temps? The hypothesis is the scoops may work better than the stock pop-up spoiler with air dam design.

18 way for me are noticeably more comfortable. Also, Alcantara for me was a deal breaker.

My .2 GTS with 18-way seats is way more comfortable than my F80 M3 competition w/ leather seats. I can definitely drive this for hours without issues. For me, the 18-way is >>>> than the 4-way, and that's what steered me away from some of the 911T on my dealer lots.

Love, love, love this car. Perfect GTS. Too bad they discontinued this blue.

Always get a PPI just to be sure there is no "surprises" in the computer and the mechanic should tell you anything that you will not notice on your own
