Paintless Dent Repair

Paintless Dent Repair
Just got a dent on the rear passenger fender (12:00 position if looking straight at it) and it seems like this is an impossible repair for the paintless dent removal method. Any ideas?

You can definitely repair this and have it look good as new.... extra points if the paint is in unscathed - seems like it from the pics

You'd be surprised at what a good PDR can do. Take to one and see what he says. I bet he can fix it.

Already ask 2 guys - both said fairly good chance of not being able to get to it. From what I've been told, on that part of the fender, the sheet metal folds into itself so there are really 2 layers of so you can't get to the backside of the sheet metal that you are trying to pop out. They said maybe a "glue pull" would work but I just got a ceramic coat 4 days ago so that will probably peel it right off and since this part of the metal is fairly strong, the "pull" may not even work.
I was hoping somebody has had some experience with this for a specific "technique" -- I am in SoCal (south OC)

You'll need to pull the wheel well liner in that area for access. Then look for an access hole. Or make one, and then properly prime it and seal it. Better than a dent and/or body work.
You may need to coordinate this effort at the dealership, because a PDR guy is NOT going to want to remove body parts to gain access.
Not all PDR guys are created equally. Look around until you can find one who can do/try it.
At a bend like that is VERY-VERY difficult to do.
Good luck, please report back!

Thanks LexVan. I had a guy come out last week and fix a crease (vertical, about 1.5") on the same fender but it was on the 2 o-clock position and between the wheel and window. He is a porsche guy so he removed the well liner. He was the one who told me about the double sheet metal, the existence of 3 access holes (10, 12 and 2 o-clock) after the well liner is removed and possibly drilling a hole if needed and the "glue pull". He is still not confident about being able to get to it but he may work on it if I get him to work on another dent on the passenger door -- trying to schedule this in a couple of months before my other car needs to go back on a 3-year lease so he could do it all in one shot

No glue-pull, it won't work. Call the local high end car dealers (Bentley, Ferrari, Aston) etc and see who they use. You need a guy that's really, really good. I had this on my car a year ago. Two different PDR guys said they could fix it - they had no clue and were a waste of time.. Finally took it to Dentmaster's in Tysons Corner VA, who the exotic shops use. He aced it, but had to remove the tail light and wheel liner to get in there. Opposite coast from you, but the master's are out there - you just have to find them.

On the 997, I am very familiar with this area. Not sure if it is the same on the 991, but I am guessing it is. You can remove the rear speaker cover and then gain access to that whole area. You should be able to get that one out without issue. Tools will reach down into that area. If you need more info, let me know. I can go into detail from my experience with the 997.

I had two dings a little above and forward of yours--so a smooth part of the panel. The PDR guy I've used for years actually drilled a hole in the liner, repaired the dings and plugged the hole. I think my guy could do yours, so, as others have said, there are PDR people in your area who can smooth out your dent. I would call your dealer and other high-end dealers, a consensus will show up. Call that guy.
