991.1 Check Rear Number Plate Light
Can I clear this message myself? I replaced the rear plate lights and the message is still there. Does this need to be cleared by the dealer?

I did not use OEM, bought these
They light up, much brighter than the stock ones.

I changed them because I received the message on the dash so thought it would clear the message if I changed...it did not.
