Default 991.1 Check Rear Number Plate Light

Can I clear this message myself? I replaced the rear plate lights and the message is still there. Does this need to be cleared by the dealer?

Thanks,

Curious to know why you changed the rear plate lights. My lights are LED, hard to burn.

Did you use OEM? Do they light up?

I changed them because I received the message on the dash so thought it would clear the message if I changed...it did not.

I did not use OEM, bought these
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07J6J3453/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07J6J3453/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They light up, much brighter than the stock ones.

That could be the problem... The "error free" resistor could be giving you an error. It happened to me in my 997.

Was the only solution to clear the message replacing with OEM?
