Default Clear shield protective film

Just got a quote from my body shop to put a clear film protective film on my car $1395 , this includes front 1/2 of front end and mirrors . Does this sound reasonable and has anyone have any experience with Clear Shield Brand of material vs. 3M . He says 3m is lots more expensive , thicker and much harder to put on.
?

I recently had Suntek put on by an extremely experienced installer.... did the front bumper, hood, fenders, side mirrors, front pillars, front portion of the roof, and rear rock guards for $2100

My concern here would be do you want the guy that wants to go the easy route working on your car? The 3m is more expensive for a reason. It is better.

I had xpel installed in my car prior to delivery two years back. I paid 2k for the full frontal treatment. The film has held up very well so far. The cost seems reasonable.

I have never heard of Clear Shield. A quick search in my area finds that none of the quality PPF installers use this product. Pay the upcharge to get Xpel or Suntek from a reputable installer.

I don't know if the Clear Shield is a problem, but I'm certain that the front 1/2 of the front is a problem, both in aesthetics and protection.

I did, it can vary depending on the skill and reputation of the shop.

I did entire car plus clear plex on my windshield around 5k, some shops can go higher with less seams and more custom cuts up to 8k.
